Commodores Call For Artists

The Commodores are inviting artists from the Falmouth Artists Guild to create works related to baseball on Cape Cod, or more specifically the Commodores, to be auctioned on Sunday, August 3, at the Nimrod Restaurant to help raise funds for a new press box. The Commodores appreciate that all artwork and auction items are 100% donation.

Please submit your artwork to the Falmouth Artists Guild by July 29 and we will showcase all works on the Commodores’ website as they become available. Our site enjoys more than 800 unique visitors daily during the summer, so your work will receive wide attention. We are also considering the possibility of streaming the auction
live on the internet to make the event more successful.

This could be your chance to paint a future Hall of Fame baseball player. The Commodores are thrilled to have this opportunity to work with artists from the Guild and we will make every effort to accommodate artists. Our players will be available as models and we can have special sections reserved at our games for artists to work. We have left over twenty 8 x 10 color photos at the Guild for artists to use for inspiration if they like. In addition, there are hundreds of photos on our website to gather ideas from.

We hope you will join us in this important project that can benefit each of
our organizations and the entire community of Falmouth. Please contact me
with ideas, comments or suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Jerry Reilly
