Another Sellout Crowd Cheers Jeff-Jax End-War Pleas
Once again, the CIDC’s Jefferson Jackson Dinner May 4 at the Radisson in Hyannis, broke all records with a sellout crowd of over 300 whose level of engagement resembled what we’d normally expect during an election year.
(A post-dinner tally showed the annual affair raised more than $6,200 for CIDC coffers to help elect more Democrats.)
The lively spirit was attributable to a combination of many factors: overall admiration for this year’s keynote speaker, Congressman Jim McGovern (D-Worcester) and those being honored; the residue of enthusiasm from last year’s Congressional election results and rising optimism generated from the already competitive ’08 Presidential race.
