Mask Making Workshop - TODAY - FREE
Come to the Falmouth Art Center to create a mask for yourself and one to donate to the Masquerade Chair-ity Bash. We will be making masks Wednesday evening, today, October 7 from 7-9pm. Refreshments will be served. The Masquerade Bash is Friday, October 30, 7:00 - 10:00pm at the Falmouth Art Center. Make your Bash reservations now for $45! Call 508-540-3304. Frame Your Own Art - Inexpensively
Come to the Framing Demonstration by Bob Ryder on Sunday, October 11, 2-3pm at the Falmouth Art Center. A donation of $5 is appreciated. Bob Ryder, artist and retired dentist, was born and raised in New England. The son of a sign painter, Ryder received formal training at University of Toronto and the Museum School in Worcester. While working in many mediums, he favors oils and acrylics. Bob will bring materials and show you exactly how to frame your work for a moderate cost. It's a chance to listen to an expert, take notes and leave knowing how to frame your own work inexpensively.
Light is the Subject by Rosalie Nadeau
Register now for this workshop - all are welcome to work in pastels, oils or acrylics. It is a 4-day workshop, October 19 - 22, 9am - 4pm, $325 members and $350 non-members. Rosalie introduces you to dramatic light painting both in studio and on location, weather permitting. During daily detailed demonstrations and one-on-one individual instruction in an encouraging environment, Rosalie shares methods to bring brilliance and presence to the painting surface! Trees Place Gallery and Left Bank Gallery represent her work on Cape Cod, where her work was selected for the permanent collection of the Cape Cod Museum of Art. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, as well as other organizations. Click to register
October 13 Receiving for "Indian Summer"
All Media is welcome to our next art show in the main gallery. Work must be brought in by October 13, a maximum of two pieces per artist. The submission fee is $5 per piece for members and $7 per piece for non-members. Art must be submitted Tuesday, October 13 or earlier by appointment. The opening reception is Sunday, October 18, 2 - 4pm. Anyone may submit work! High school students may submit free of charge if the work is not framed and can be displayed on our mobile grey panels. October 27 ArtsFalmouth Networking
Please join us on Tuesday, October 27, 5 - 7PM, at the Falmouth Art Center to meet and greet fellow artists of all genres. Enjoy the new Art Center too! The event is free to ArtsFalmouth members and Falmouth Artist Guild members; non-members pay $5 at the door. The Falmouth Art Center is located at 137 Gifford Street, Falmouth.
