My Final Kathy-Gram

This new year began with great and exciting changes for our Democratic party; a Democratic majority in Congress, our first female Speaker of the House and our first African-American Governor, returning the Democrats to the corner office after a 16-year hiatus. Change is in the air for the Cape and Islands Democratic Council as well, with our upcoming CIDC Executive Board elections March 26 in Sandwich.

This newsletter presents the slate as recommended by our Nominating Committee for the 2007-2009 term. You will see both new and familiar names, all of them representing hard-working Democrats who will bring talent and energy to ensure our continued growth.

I have been a member of this board since 1995 and I've served as your President for nearly five years. I have witnessed tremendous growth over the last decade and I can assure you that the candidates on this slate will continue our efforts to elect Democrats to represent us.
