This Local Election Means The World

As Tip O’Neill is frequently quoted, “All politics is local,” but that’s not to rule out the occasions when national considerations  assume a major role.

I thought about this when I addressed the annual Cape & Islands Democratic Council’s annual Unity Rally in Hyannis. This event is designed to heal any wounds that might remain from the primaries and mobilize the troops for the upcoming general election.

But this time I also found it important to remind the 130-plus Democrats in attendance that there’s a presidential campaign going on that could very well affect the future of this nation.
